About Me
Hi, I'm Sammy Barrett, Certified Potty Training Consultant
Welcome, I'd like to introduce myself; I'm Sammy Barrett, proud mom of twin boys aged three. When my boys turned two, I stumbled upon Jamie's book Oh Crap! Potty Training while browsing the library. I hadn't really given potty training much thought past knowing my kids were going to be outgrowing their cloth diapers in the months to come.
Upon completing Oh Crap! Potty Training I knew it was time to ditch the diapers and get the boys using the potty asap. I pulled the boys out of daycare for a week, and we were off to the races! I felt the most challenging part of potty training was actually my husband making things more difficult because he hadn't also read the book - rookie mistake on my end. After politely asking my husband to just leave it to me, it got easier, and the boys had it down pat by the end of the week!

After swapping stories we've heard about potty training going sideways for other parents on a family playdate, my close friend Jess suggested that I look into it as a career choice since people already ask me for advice about it. We laughed it off, and then out of curiosity, my husband said to see what it looked like and from there it became a more serious thought; and now here we are!

I'm thrilled to help you and your family through this. Parenting is a hard journey, and I believe that everyone needs a village to help them out and make sense of their chaos. I want to help guide you through this and make it less miserable for you.
"Sammy was a great help in potty training our 19 month old. She offered detailed explanations , lots of support and was always available if we had any questions or felt lost. Within 3 days our daughter was ready to use the potty and within 4 weeks she was finally using the potty without any accidents! We couldn’t have done it without Sammy!"

“Sammy was a huge help with potty training my 28 month old twin girls. With in the first day the girls were starting to already use the potty. By day 4 the girls were consistently using the potty and having very few accidents. Sammy educated me and guided me through what to do so I could continue to support both my girls during these transition. She is a compassionate and dedicated friend and mother who has a wonderful passion for working with young ones. She turned potty training into a fun learning experience, which was something I was delaying because I didn’t even know where to start off, especially with two. I couldn’t have done it without Sammy’s help and continual support!"
